Marelli Automotive Lighting is one of our long-standing customers. We have been working together for more than 15 years, during which we have successfully delivered a number of key projects in headlight production automation.

A major milestone was the successful development of a standardized EOL tester for adjusting and inspecting the optical and electrical functions of headlights.

Over the ten-year history of this project, we have produced approximately 150 units of these devices, into which we have integrated newer projects several times. Today, around 180–200 testers are deployed worldwide, with CBG Automation supplying Europe and North America. The Asian market is covered by a local partner.

Standardization that brings flexibility

The main advantage of standardized EOL testers is their high flexibility. The testers are designed to enable:

easier integration of new projects into existing production lines

efficient reconfiguration for new product generations

rapid adaptation to changes in optical and electronic parameters

This standardized concept provides the customer not only with consistent quality, but also with a significant simplification of new project implementation across production plants.

Joint development of a new automated bonding line

Another important step in strengthening our cooperation was the joint development of a new concept for an automated line for bonding the lens and housing of a headlight.

The objective was to:

reduce the scrap rate,

simplify the work of operators,

optimize staffing requirements in production

Thanks to close cooperation between the development teams, we succeeded in creating a technology that significantly increased process stability while reducing operator workload. The result is more efficient production with a lower error rate.
